We will be returning to Turning Point Scotland 9-11th October to deliver our annual training to their teams on working with survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse. The groups always consist of a wide range of services, making for rich and varied input.
We will also be coming back to North Ayrshire Health and Social Care team who have requested more input on responding to adult disclosures of Childhood Sexual Abuse. Look out for feedback on both of these Trauma Informed Sessions.
We are looking forward to January 2018 when we will be working with the Metropolitan Police, focusing on raising awareness and responding to disclosures of CSA in the London boroughs. This is an ongoing process.
Over the next few months, we will be working with The Alliance in Glasgow and the joint Social Work and Health Team in North Ayrshire, who are continuing to train more staff on how to respond to adult disclosures of childhood sexual abuse.
We are looking forward to working again with Shine Mentors following up on previous vicarious trauma sessions. These will take place on the 5th and 9th of June in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
On the 12th and 13th of June we will deliver ‘Safe for Parents to Say’ training to staff from a variety of services in the South-East Edinburgh locality. This follows the awarding of a grant from the Community Grant Fund.
We are looking forward to working with a new organisation Share in May delivering Safe to Say to their team in Kirkliston.
We are also revisiting West Central Childcare Forum later on in May to deliver Safe for Parents to Say to more of their staff working with young children and families.
