At the end of May we worked with the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) and the Simon Community on our 5 day Training for Trainers programme. The staff from UWS are lecturers in mental health nursing training and this is the 3rd cohort of lecturers to be trained over the past 5 years. Safe to Say has become embedded into the curriculum for 2nd year pre registered mental health nurses. We are excited at the prospect of UWS and the Simon Community partnership which will enrich the experience of students and participants. “The training opened my heart and mind to survivors of childhood sexual abuse”.
