Safe to Say Directors featured in PSW Scotland

Sue and Irene were invited to write a piece for the Scottish Association of Social Work’s publication PSW Scotland on the importance of listening to survivors of childhood sexual abuse (CSA).  Published in the November 2015 issue, the feature article titled What we can learn from survivors highlights the devastating impact CSA can have on survivors’ physical and mental health, the way that trauma is held within the body, the coping mechanisms people may use including dissociation, and crucially the importance of safe relationships and being listened to.
